So you need some reviews...

The synth is pretty different than anything I've heard in your stuff before. It doesn't really feel like a drum and bass song to me though, but I wouldn't know what else to classify it as. It definitely has some depth, which I really like, but the rhythm parts don't vary much throughout the song, so it gets a little repetitive. Also, you didn't really use many dynamics, which adds to the repetitiveness, and makes the melody kind of hard to hear in some parts. I did like it overall, sorry to pick out so much of the bad. Downloaded, hope my review helps you.

Pretty cool

I can really tell you know alot about music theory from this. The chord progessions were nice, and I liked how you had the string parts in the beginning, but when the strings went down to playing half notes and whole notes it didn't feel like there was very much going on. Usually when I see people try to make classical tracks, they bring in too many elements from other genres, but from this, you definitely seem to know what you are doing. I enjoyed it, and found it rather relaxing.

your review made me laught! (yes, LAUGH)
I know NOTHING about music theory, and never had any lessons as a matter of fact.
Just tried to make it the best I can with what I've got.
Note that mostly I'm making dance tracks, not classical, but I really like classic music as well, especially when it's well mastered (very few of these on NG unfortunatly).

Nice to see a new one

I really like your stuff alot. This one is particularly good. I really like the steady buildup that you maintain throughout the song. It seems kind of calm for a dance song, but that just seems to be your style. Great song overall, I definitely hope to see some more soon!

Shinrog responds:

Yup, I normally don't use fast patterns in my works, which gives em a lil bit more calm feeling than actually a hardcore touch.

Nice first attempt

I think it is pretty cool that you are trying to get into different genres. However, try to stay away from synths in classical music, use stringed instruments of brass instead. Also, your lack of dynamics made the piece very repetitive for me. You could try listening to danman87 or maestrorage, they both have good classical music on newgrounds. Keep it up, I'll be looking for more from you.

My favorite song of yours

This song is awesome. One thing that really impresses me is how you manage to keep it from getting repetitive. Your choice of tempo is really good too, especially how you have fast moving stuff in the background, but still manage to keep things from being frantic. I like this song alot, its on my ipod.

Shinrog responds:

yeh, I too like this piece more than most of my stuff =)

Awesomeness

This is the song that got me interested in the Audio Portal, I heard it a long long time ago and then found it here. The melody is amazing, I can't count the number of times I found that melody in my head. My only complaint is that it is too short, but still, this is the song that first piqued my interest in the Audio Portal.

So...yea...
